Signature experience
Hot Air Balloon Ride in Marrakech
The most magical way to start a day in Morocco: sunrise over the plains, the Atlas on the horizon and a traditional breakfast on landing.
The experience
Morocco from the sky
There is a particular silence up there. Below you, the palm groves, ochre villages and stony plains of the Marrakech region slowly light up, while the peaks of the High Atlas turn pink with the first sun.
We arrange sunrise balloon flights with experienced local operators, on shared or private baskets, and fit them into your itinerary at the right moment — ideally early in your stay, so there is time for a second attempt if the wind decides otherwise.
- Hotel pickup and return in Marrakech
- Sunrise flight of about an hour, depending on conditions
- Traditional breakfast and mint tea after landing
- Shared basket or private flight for two, a family or a small group
Exact inclusions depend on the operator and option chosen, and are confirmed in your written quote.

FAQ
Balloon flight: good to know
How long does the balloon experience take?
Plan for a half-day: an early pickup before sunrise, around one hour in the air (depending on the wind), then breakfast and the drive back. Most travelers are back in Marrakech by late morning.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Balloon flights depend entirely on weather conditions, and the pilot makes the final safety decision on the morning of the flight. If a flight is cancelled, the operator's rescheduling or refund conditions apply — we confirm them in writing before you book. We recommend scheduling the flight early in your stay to leave room for another attempt.
Is there a minimum age or any health restriction?
Restrictions (minimum age, pregnancy, reduced mobility, some medical conditions) vary by operator. Tell us about everyone in your group and we will check before booking.
Can we have a private basket?
Yes — in addition to shared flights, private flights for couples, families or small groups can be arranged, subject to availability. It is a popular option for honeymoons, proposals and anniversaries.
What should I wear?
Early mornings in the countryside can be cold, even in warm seasons, while it warms up quickly after sunrise. Wear layers, closed comfortable shoes and bring a hat and sunglasses.
How much does it cost?
Prices vary with the season, the type of flight (shared or private) and what is included. Request a quote and we will send you the options available for your dates.
